A total of Php 1,635,000.00 cash assistance was distributed to 2,673 students last April 17-24, 2024, led by Mayor Jesus “Susing” N. Sacdalan. The 1st LGU Alamada Scholarship Grant for Elementary and Secondary Education embodies a transformative initiative aimed at providing essential financial support to indigenous students in the community. This program represents a commitment to empowering and uplifting the educational aspirations of underprivileged learners and fostering socio-economic progress.

The grant covers various schools in the area, including Alamada High School, Alamada Central Elementary School, Mirasol Elementary School, Manglicmot Elementary School, Manglicmot High School, Lower Dado Elementary School, Macabasa Elementary School, Raradangan Integrated School, Bao Central Elementary School, Kitub-Bao High School, Yanson High School, Marabuhay Elementary School, Kisulao Elementary School, Siya-Siya Elementary School, Amatac Elementary School, Quintas Elementary School, Tawas-Abaga Elementary School, Malitubog Elementary School, Talha Elementary School, Paruayan Elementary School, Absalon L. Padronia Elementary School, Guilinng Elementary School, Guiling High School.

In addition to these schools are Mapurok ES, Maracabac ES, Tabunan ES, Del Pilar ES,Dado HS (JHS), Dado HS (SHS), Upper Dado Central ES, Teren-Teren ES, Lt. Tito Orejudos ES,Pigcawaran HS (JHS), Pigcawaran HS (SHS), Pigcawaran ES ,Rebi ES, Mimbalawag ES, New Leon ES, Badak ES, Dulao ES.

 

The scholarship coverage is as follows:

  • 50% for indigent elementary students with a grant of ₱600
  • 40% for indigent junior high school students with a grant of ₱600
  • 10% for indigent senior high school students with a grant of ₱700

Qualifications to avail the Scholarship :

a) must be a bonafide resident of Alamada and indigent

b) general average of 80% with no failing grade

c) continuous scholarship provided (a) and (b) are met and only an updated report card will be submitted as one of the requirements for payment and certificate of scholarship grant be signed and approved by LCE

Requirements:

  • Duly accomplished application form
  • Certificate of Indigency from BLGU where applicant resides
  • Report Card (photocopy signed by the Principal) – not a requirement for Grade 1 but only an assessment
  • Certificate of Enrollment, GMC and with no other scholarship program availed from the school
