The Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator is responsible in the preparation of development plans and other development planning documents; and further conducts continuing studies, researches, training program and project study/development priority for its implementation in accordance with standard project/planning cycle process.

Mission

The Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Office will sustain the delivery of office functions and services to the fullest of our abilities by harnessing our potentials and building more meaningful teamwork, unity and solidarity.

Objective

  1. Provide assistance in the development and progress along the areas of development such as agricultural, infrastructure, fiscal management and other socio-economic programs of the municipality.
  2. Coordinate and integrate planning implementation and evaluation of economic and social development projects.

Mandates and Functions

The Planning and Development Coordinator Shall take charge of the planning and development office and shall:

1. Formulate integrated economic, social, policies for consideration of the Local Government Development Council.
2. Conduct Continuing studies, researches, and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation;
3. Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups or agencies;
. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the different development programs, projects, and activities in the LGU concerned in accordance with approved development plan;
5. Prepare comprehensive plans and other development planning documents for the consideration of the LDC;
6. Analyze the income and expenditure pattern, and pattern, and formulate and recommend fiscal plans and policies for consideration of the finance committee of the LGU concerned as provided under Title Five, Book ll of the Code;
7. Promote people participation in development planning within the LGU concerned;
8. Exercise supervision and control over the secretarial of the LDC; and
9. Exercise such other powers and perform such other functions and duties as may be prescribed by the law or ordinance.

Computation of Legal Research Fee for the University of the Philippines Law (UPLR) remains at One Percent (1%) of every fee charged but shall in No Case Be Lower than ₱12.00 which is covered by MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 18 Series of 2013 (October 2, 2013)
